We are currently exploring Cooling from the point of view of the seafood industry as it intersects carbon-intensive supply chains and highly precarious labour, making the entanglement of ecological and social exploitation starkly visible. The journey of seafood from ocean to plate is a story that reveals how artificial cooling is an invisible force in global trade. The seafood industry is built of a hidden carbon infrastructure - an interconnected system of ice and refrigeration that keeps fresh at it moves across vast distances.
